Transport

above are two two wheeled vhicles which we call wagons of carts. The Romans would call them cars. Transport was very important to the Romans. The forts and armies required tons of food and military goods. Boats from across the English Channel brought in food, supplies and soldiers’ pay on a regular basis.

The local population would also need wagons to carry their goods which the Romans bought when supplies from the continent could not be had.
